Our vision: enthusiastic, successful learners who interact with confidence and respect.
COVID-19 ALERT LEVEL 1
Auckland has now joined the rest of NZ at Alert Level 1.
At Alert Level 1 school operates as normal. We do our best to keep everyone safe and well by:
promoting personal space
encouraging frequent hand washing
asking families to keep any children with cold/flu type symptoms at home
Parents are welcome on school grounds during Alert Level 1.
We are really hoping that Term 4 will be a complete term of at school learning.
Thank you Riverhills whanau. Be safe. Be kind.
Pink Shirt Day
Riverhills was a sea of pink for Pink Shirt Day. We made compliment stickers and anti-bullying posters, and got together for some fun dancing.
Pink Shirt Day is a fundraiser to support the Mental Health Foundation that focuses on spreading aroha and kindness. Thanks to everyone who brought a long a donation to support the foundation.
Check out our album of photos on the Photo Gallery page.
On the last Thursday of Term 3 we celebrated 30,000 Respect LOOP points with a Wheels Day.
We loved seeing lots of big smiles, great teamwork and sharing, and some amazing skills too.
Way to go Riverhills!

Thank you everyone, we had a great day with lots of fun wigs, hairstyles and hats.
We raised $167 for the Child Cancer Foundation. Well done Riverhills.
We have added an album of photos to the Photo Gallery, and on our Facebook page.
Soccer & Netball Day
With all Term 2 inter-school sports events cancelled, we invited our neighbouring schools to visit for some friendly games of soccer and netball. The fog cleared to a sunny morning and the students from Riverhills, Riverina and Anchorage Park schools demonstrated great sportsmanship and skills. You can access our photo album from the morning via our website Photo Gallery.
Support Staff Week
June 8-12 is Support Staff Week.
Support Staff are all of the staff in our school who are not the main classroom teachers. Teacher Aides, Office Staff and Property Staff make up our Support Staff Team.
All of the teaching staff and all of the students care so much about our wonderful support staff. We are so grateful for everything they do at Riverhills School.
Riverhills Remembers - Anzac Day 2020
Hygiene @ School
We are spending time making sure that all children at school know the correct technique for hand-washing.
All of our classes are watching this short video as part of their learning, and some students have taken up the challenge to make their own video about how to wash you hands to prevent the spread of germs.
Thank you to all of our wonderful grandparents who came along and shared stories with our tamariki.
Te Tuhi Art Gallery Trips
All of our classes went to visit Te Tuhi Art Gallery during March. They took part in an educator led session 'Stories of the Pacific', which focused on how artists tell their stories through symbols. After viewing some examples our students were guided through the process of creating their own tapa cloth stories.
Riverhills School is a Sun Smart approved school. Our compulsory uniform includes a school hat, which must be worn during all outdoor activities during Terms 1 and 4. Please ensure that your child has a clearly named school hat at school every day this term. Hats are available from NZ Uniforms, both in store and online. See the uniform page of this website for more information.
